'Diamond rain' falls on Hong Kong street
An unexpected "rain" created a rare scene on a street in Hong Kong on Wednesday night, with people squatting down to search for what they thought was a treasure in gems.
"It's falling diamonds!" Someone said aloud. Passersby stopped and started to look for the extremely small particles under street lights.
Well, it turned out that the stones were not as valuable as people thought. They are artificial stones for accessories, with each particle costing no more than HK$10 ($1.2).
