Man climbs utility pole after fight with girlfriend, gets electrocuted

A lesson that might be learned in the following case is that one should never seek a high place to cool down after a fight.

A 30-year-old man climbed to the top of a utility pole following a fight with his girlfriend suffered life-threatening injuries after electrocuting himself and falling to the ground in a ball of fire in Jinhua, Zhejiang province on Nov 26, southcn.com reported.

The man came into contact with the live transmission wires while sitting on top of the pole. Witnesses say they heard the sound of an explosion as the wires sparked.

He received prompt medical care and is reportedly in stable condition. He has, however, suffered severe burns across his body.

There is still no word as to what the couple had been bickering about, and the case is under investigation.
