A 25-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman have registered their marriage in Haining, Zhejiang province, the Shanghai Morning Post reported.
News was spread by Weibo users, among whom most described feeling "stunned", although some offered best wishes to the couple.
Both newly-weds are Jiaxing natives. The bride is a year younger than her father-in-law, while the groom is a year younger than his wife's daughter, who was also married.

Two middle school students, dressed in black robes and hoods and carrying sickles while walking in a park in Mengjin county, Henan province, were mistaken for terrorists by passers-by, Dahe Daily reported.
Armed local police arrived and apprehended the pair, who received warnings before being released.

Rooted in a local resident's house, the tree has penetrated the floors and roof of the house, which remains surprisingly luxurious. The spectacle has attracted numerous visitors.

Zhang Qingyun, a former official in Shenzhen, was charged with bribery and taken to court where he turned over more than 900,000 yuan ($150,000) voluntarily.
He was later accused taking bribes worth only about 500,000 yuan and the rest of the money was returned to him, according to Southern Metropolis Daily.
Zhang admitted his guilt and judges said he should receive a lighter punishment.

Pig with 8 legs born among a litter of 8
A baby pig was born with eight legs in Chongqing municipality's Nanchuan district, Chongqing Evening News reported on Thursday.
The pig was one of a litter of eight that was born on Aug 2. Guo Zongyi, director of the Chongqing Academy of Animal Science, believes the eight-legged pig is the result of gene mutations.

Wife beat him often after affair, husband tells court
A tearful man in court in the Huadu district of Guangzhou showed his injuries to judges and begged them to grant him a divorce, New Express reported on Thursday.
The man, surnamed Luo, said he was often beaten by his wife. The wife told the judges that she discovered that her husband had an affair at the end of 2011 and she wanted to beat him every time she thought about it. She agreed to the divorce, telling the judges that it would be a relief for both of them.

Murder suspect flees to find nicer police
A man suspected of murdering his wife in Pingchang county fled about 1,400 kilometers to his hometown in Jurong city, Jiangsu province, and turned himself in because he believed the police there would treat him well. The man, surnamed Yang, killed his wife on July 21 with a knife after a quarrel, according to Pingchang police.
Yang arrived in Jurong after 10 days and turned himself in to police on Sunday. He said he took the trip because he thought the police of his hometown were nicer than the police of Pingchang. He has now been transferred to the custody of Pingchang authorities.
