Andersson said she was disappointed over having to drop out of the Games, but several colds had ruined her chances of getting in form in time.

"I would not be able to do myself justice," Andersson said.

The Swedish skier said she planned to compete at the 2011 world championships and hoped to be able to take part in the World Cup events that resume after the Olympic Games.
