"Go home and first count how many pieces of leather a football has. 'Hit a person when he is down', that's what you bastards are doing. That's why Chinese soccer is a mess."
- Wang Dalie, Chinese goalkeeper writes on his microblog
Football is full of outbursts - on and off the field – and that does not hurt the sport's charm. But for a credibility-losing Wang Dalei apparently inexcusable for a blunder, the outburst – off the field to fans, is absolutely a galling shame. After losing 3-0 to Japan at the Asian Games, the 21-year-old goalkeeper posted on his micro blog: "It would be flattery to call you fans. You're just a bunch of dogs". However, the farce between Chinese football and its fans is the ravages of mutual-distrust. Unruly words on micro-blog are not the way to seek the balance.
