Unruly Chinese goalkeeper suspended

GUANGZHOU - The Chinese goalkeeper who called fans "morons" and "a bunch of dogs" after his team's 3-0 loss to Japan has been suspended, a Chinese Asian Games delegation official told Xinhua on Wednesday afternoon.

Cai Jiadong, secretary general of the Chinese Asian Games delegation, said that Wang Dalei, who blasted at Chinese fans with expletives-filled entries on his microblog, has been "suspended and ordered to meditate on his action."

Cai didn't say how many games the 21-year-old goalkeeper would be barred from.

Wang didn't start in the ongoing Group A game between China and Kyrgyzstan.
