Place M gallery, co-founded by Japan's renowned photographers Daido Moriyama and Seto, is an internationally well-known art institution. Sun held an exhibition named Chinese before Reform and Opening-up, showing more than 60 pieces of Photographs at the gallery, and the photos on display were selected from his works taken in the period from 1960s to 1980s, which aroused strong repercussions in the world of photography.

As one of the main organizers of China (Sanmenxia) White Swan Wildlife International Photography Exibition, Sun thought that although the quality of exhibits varied in quality, it was really a reflection of diversity and universality, which is an excellent platform to take part in.
