On Sept.8, 1,650 imported cars landed in Qingdao automobile port, the largest shipment of cars since the port began to operate.
With excellent port resources, convenient customs services and a favorable business environment, Qingdao port aims to grab more market share, and become the unique logistics, trading, exhibition, and service center for automobiles in Northeast Asia, according to a port official.
“Internet plus” is another direction of exploration. The port will use the Internet to define a new trade model in the bonded port area.
The Free Trade Port Area has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with htche.com to build China’s first e-commerce platform for imported cars. At that time, the platform will have a logistics network covering 31 provinces, introduce after-sales services for parallel imported cars and set up maintenance stations in more than 300 prefecture-level cities in China.
On May 15, the first large platform for cross-border e-commerce in Shandong came online, jointly constructed by the Free Trade Port Area and Haier Group. The platform offers vertical services, including public logistics, integrated service systems of foreign trade, and incubators.
At the same time, Haier Goup opened the first large business-to-business cross-border e-commerce platform in China. It offers better and more convenient service via an open connected platform for foreign trade. Micro, small and medium enterprises in foreign trade can enjoy the same resources as big brands.
The official said the construction of these platforms above could be a breakthrough for the bonded port area in building a regional e-port. With these platforms, the free trade port area will use its advantages to create an easy-to-use platform for free trade.
