Shandong Province, on the east coast of China, is an important opening to the outside world. Eight municipalities are listed in the Shandong Peninsula Economic Open Zone, and there are 16 category-1 ports open to foreign vessels and airplanes in the province.
The Sino-Korean Free Trade Agreement stipulates the establishment of a Sino-Korean cooperation demonstration area and allows Shandong and South Korea to develop trial cooperation projects in trade, investment, industry and services. The Sino-Korean industrial park, which will be included in the framework of China-Korea FTA, is one of Shandong’s achievements as an open economy.
