AI machines expect to replace human guides in Zhouzhuang, an iconic Chinese water town, offering tourists smarter touring experiences.

Zhouzhuang has recently adopted a kind of self-guide machine, which features a sightseeing map and audio introductions to scenic spots in four different languages, namely Chinese, English, Japanese and Korean.

According to a staffer at the town, visitors are able to know where they are and which scenic spots remain to be visited by indicator lights on the map and the audio introductions to attractions that change automatically as they move.

It only costs 25 yuan ($3.7) per day to rent such a gadget until the end of December.

Visitors can also book in advance by dialing 0512-57211655 or 0512-57211543.

Zhouzhuang, situated in East China's Jiangsu province is noted for its profound history, elegant waterway views and well-preserved architectures.
