Wang Yan made a special effort to talk with passengers and listen to their concerns before she attended the congress. Policies about raising the individual income tax threshold, reducing the price of broadband, and scrapping the charge for data-roaming reflect her passengers' desires and will be addressed.

When referring to smart buses and shuttles, Wang pointed out that the present buses in Tianjin have a GPS system that can locate, monitor, and schedule buses in response to the weather. It is becoming more and more convenient for passengers to take buses. The shuttle bus also uses the "Internet+Bus" system to shorten transit times.

In 2018, Tianjin's bus company will upgrade and transform old bus stations, and build more service counters, waiting rooms and bathrooms.

The company will also expand buses service to remote towns and villages as the achievements of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development Plan come into play.

Tianjin has opened lines from Tianjin Station to Tianjin West Station and extended office hours to 24:00.

"We will try to connect with the railway administration to make emergency plans so that residents enjoy convenient trips,"Wang added.
