ICONIQ to cooperate with Microsoft and AKKA in unmanned technology

ICONIQ, a new energy automotive enterprise based in Tianjin will cooperate with Microsoft and AKKA to develop unmanned technology for its L5 unmanned cars. The vehicles will be displayed at the 2020 Dubai World Expo and mass produced by the end of 2022.

Before the 2020 Dubai World Expo, the cars will be tested in China and Masdar City in Abu Dhabi to gain original data.

The General Manager of Windows' IoT Group Kevin Dallas says that it is a honor that ICONIQ will be using Microsoft's artificial intelligence, machine learning and location services as the key of its unmanned technology. And he believes that their cooperative relationship will extend to clouding technology.

AKKA has researched advanced driver assistance systems for ten years, and it has over 300 engineers. AKKA will provide solutions in internet technology, software, embedded electronic productions and electromechanical systems.

ICONIQ settled in the Tianjin High-Tech Area in 2016.
