The 2016 Forum will focus on "ecological cities and green innovation" and has attracted some leading experts as speakers.
An exposition will be held at the same time as the forum and six display zones -- intelligent cities, sponge cities construction, green ecological city achievements, green transportation, clean energy and green architecture -- will be set up, covering 25,000 square meters.
The forum has been held for six years, with about 9,000 politicians, leading scholars and entrepreneurs having attended.

The 6th forum in 2015 concentrated on sustainable development. Fan Hengshan, deputy secretary of the National Development and Reform Commission, offered several proposals to reach the goal: green layouts, green production, green concepts, green life and green sharing.
The coming forum aims at furthering those concepts and turning the focus from ecological sustainability to the construction of ecological cities.
