The Third National Private Enterprise Investment Fair was held in Tianjin’s Binhai New Area from October 15 to 17.

The conference, with the theme “New Situation, New Opportunity, and New Development”, attracted more than 400 leaders of private enterprises and ten chambers of commerce.

Attendees discussed benefits and communication opportunities from the Tianjin Pilot Free Trade Zone, the launch of the national innovation demonstrative area, the development of the Binhai New Area, and the Belt and Road initiative, and other development projects.

Huang Rong, deputy chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, said that the Tianjin Government is adapting new rules in economic development and industrial transition. The city is optimizing its economy.

The government is also helping private enterprises upgrade for healthy sustainable development, Huang added.

During his address, Huang asked private enterprises to use the advantages in Tianjin and seize development opportunities. Huang urged businesses to learn more about the city.

Huang said the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce will continuously support the development of Tianjin and its integration with Beijing and Hebei. Liu Changxi, member of the Tianjin Municipal Party Committee, said that the city is benefiting from five national strategies –integration with Beijing and Hebei, the Tianjin Pilot Free Trade Zone, the national innovation demonstrative area, the Binhai New Area, and the Belt and Road initiative。

Liu said that the city will adopt new rules in economic development, maintain innovation-driven growth, and establish public entrepreneurship spaces to provide more business opportunities and broader development spaces for private enterprises.

Liu also hoped entrepreneurs will make good use of the opportunities brought by the conference, seize the great preferential policies of the city. He suggested enterprises to get involved in the city’s reforms and development, deepen the cooperation with the city, expand the investment in the city’s construction, and accelerate the development of the on-going projects in the city and invest more in the city’s construction. In order to achieve mutual benefit, Tianjin will provide premium, high-efficient, and convenient services to support business development, he said.

Li Zibin, China Small and Medium Sized Business Association; Liu Yingqiu, director of the Chinese Academy of Social Science Private Business Research Center; Zhang Xin, vice president of the Great Wall Motor Group attended the forum themed “New Strategy, New Policies, and New Opportunities for Private Businesses” and gave keynote speeches on private enterprise’s view of the development trend of macro economy.

The conference was held by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, Tianjin Municipal Government, China Small and Medium Sized Business Association, and China Individual Labor Association.
