Binhai to hold housing fair after the launch of FTZ

A housing fair for the"beautiful and livable Binhai New Area" is going to be held from April 24 to 26 at the Binhai International Convention Center. It will be the first housing fair after the approval of the Tianjin Free Trade Zone (FTZ).

According to the blueprint, the Tianjin FTZ covers the Tianjin Port area, the Tianjin Airport area, and the Central Business Area. Major properties in in the Central Business Center, the Dongjiang Free Trade Port Zone, and the Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone will be exhibited at the housing fair.

The housing fair is going to showcase the entire real estate situation of the FTZ, which includes residential, business, and tourist programs.

The exhibiting area has 20,000 square meters and is divided into several exhibits, including new area planning, real estate, and second-hand real estate.

A total of 48 real estate developers, six agencies, six financial institutions, and three media are going to join the fair and showcase up to 2.38 million square meters of property. These include newly established commercial apartments, office buildings, and rental housing to satisfy different tastes of the customers.

Furthermore, the housing fair will assign 20 pieces of operational land with more than 40 hectares (400,000 square meters) to attract the investments.

Fffordable housing for medium and low income families will be shown at the housing fair. Medium and low cost housings will be promoted to different customers.

In order to increase trading volume, the exhibiting businesses will offer special prices on 300 houses. Moreover, the fair will provide subsidies of up to 10,000 yuan ($1,611.6) to property developers that have successfully closed a deal at the fair.

Traders at the housing fair will be able to enjoy preferential policies, such as reduced handling fees.

An authority of the Binhai New Area Planning and Land and Resources Department remarked that the area is going to attract investment and push forward the development of estate in Binhai.

The authority also revealed that Binhai will soon launch new preferential policies on attracting populations to settle down in the area, will further complete the establishment of the city, and will continuously develop the service industry to improve Binhai’s soft environment.
