Auto events on parade in Jiading

The 2016 Formula One Pirelli Chinese Grand Prix will accelerate off the line at the Shanghai International Circuit (SIC) in Jiading district on April 15, marking the start of the 2016 Shanghai Auto Culture Festival.

This year's auto culture festival will last until May 22 and include a rich variety of wonderful events.

1. Formula One Pirelli Chinese Grand Prix

Sponsored by the International Automobile Federation (FIA), this event is held at the Shanghai International Circuit in Jiading district in April every year. This year it will run from April 15 to 17, with the participation of 22 top drivers from 11 F1 teams.

Time: April 15-17

Venue: Shanghai International Circuit

2. Auto competitions in May

In addition to the Formula One, there will be a series of auto competitions in May. The events include the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Asia, BOSS GT Formula Masters China Series, and Audi R8 LMS Cup, which will serve up an auto feast for enthusiasts.

Venue: Shanghai International Circuit

3. Shanghai Coordinates City Orienteering Challenge

Combining the district's landscape with its rich cultural and historic elements, the challenge starts on April 23, with 40 routes for the contestants. To promote a low-carbon life style, the participants will complete the mission only using the metro and electronic vehicles.
