The first Shandong Ceramics Artwork Exhibition is being held at Jinan Yuanboyuan International Convention and Exhibition Center, showcasing fine ceramic artworks of different forms, shapes and colors.

The ongoing event includes a contemporary experimental ceramic artwork show, an international tile-fired ceramics invitation show, a purchasing fair and a series of interactive activities for ceramics fans.

Delicate ceramics of international renowned brands and leading ceramists at home and abroad have already attracted hundreds of visitors. Products on display cover are wide and varying. They include ceramic artware, high-tech ceramics, colored and glazed pottery, and porcelain for daily use

One of the biggest events at the expo is the "wood fire" festival, which is China’s only international event of its kind. It is designed to provide visitors a hands-on ceramics making experience using a traditional kiln.

The event has attracted ceramics artists from Japan, France, the United States and Argentina. These guests all have on-site ceramic artworks.

The exhibition started on Sept 9 and will run until Sept 18.
