On July 9th, "2010 Shenyang- Korea Week and Global Korean Business Convention" was successfully closed in Shenyang, China's Liaoning province.
As of July 8th, 43 projects, to be launched in Shenyang, have been concluded according to signed agreements. The total amount of investment reached to 2.07 billon dollars, among which 1.57 billon dollars will be foreign capital.
"2010 Korea Week in Shenyang is the most influential and successful activity that I have seen since I lived in China 30 years ago," said Park Keun Tae, president of China & Korean Chamber of Commerce.
Over 2010 Shenyang- Korea Week, Shenyang has held 13 economic and trade programs. The programs were also qualified and well-organized than in previous years.
Apart from the Korean Overseas Exposition which was first held in Shenyang, Shenyang also held larger-than-ever Korean Film Week, Korean Food Festivals, China and S. Korea Golf Tournament, Taekwondo Competition, and China – S. Korea Tennis Contest and the South Korea KBS concert.
The programs make Shenyang citizens know more about Korean society and its culture, as well as creating more business opportunities for Korean businesses. It was the first time for a foreign city to hold the Global Korean Business Convention, a powerful approval of Shenyang’s opening-up policy, which focuses on strengthening business and trade cooperation.
During the five-day convention, Korean businessmen discussed how to cooperate with Shenyang and explore its international market potential.
