On 4 September, 2015, Amado Boudou, Vice President of Argentina paid a special visit to the Beijing Head Office of CGGC International during the Commemoration of the 70th anniversary of Victories of Chinese People's Resistance against Japanese Aggression and World Anti-Fascist War. Chen Xiaohua, Vice President of CGGC and Chairman of CGGC International, arranged the warm reception. Both sides reached consensus on deepening the cooperation between the Argentine Government and CGGC in the infrastructure development and investment in Argentina.
Mr. Chen briefed CGGC's development process, business scopes and transnational business particularly in Latin American countries, and reported the latest progress of the project of President Nestor Kirchner and Governor Jorge Cepernic Hydropower Station in Argentina. He also expressed appreciation to the Vice President for his long-term trust and support. Mr. Chen said: "Two years ago, when CGGC won the bid of the Project, I met with you in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing and held an in-depth discussion on project implementation and further cooperation by taking advantage of such an opportunity; now, thanks to the strong support from Chinese President Xi Jinping and Argentine President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, the Project has been successfully financed and officially commenced. With satisfactory progresses, it sets a brand new model of Sino-Argentina cooperation. In the future, CGGC will live up to the expectation of Argentinean people and ensure smooth delivery of the Project depending on its excellent management and state-of-the-art technologies."
Vice President Boudou delivered gratitude for CGGC's warm reception and introduction. He highly commended CGGC's all-round business scopes, comprehensive strength and remarkable achievements in transnational business, and appreciated CGGC's painstaking efforts and the practical achievements in the Project. According to him, the fruitful cooperation between both parties has laid a solid foundation for CGGC's involvement and investment in Argentine infrastructure and the brand building of CGGC in South America. Argentine Government welcomes CGGC to fully participate in the social and economic development of Argentina and provide wholehearted support in this regard.
Gustavo Martineau, Ambassador of Argentina in China, and Yang Yisheng, Deputy Chief Economist, International Business Director of CGGC and Vice President of CGGC International, attended the meeting.
