Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone held its first job fair for talents from Taiwan at the Taiwan Innovation Park situated in its Jinjingwan district on Oct 31.
More than 20 companies attended the fair, offering a total of 87 job vacancies for such positions as civil servant, activity planning director, graphic designer, Barista and baker for the job seekers from Taiwan.
The fair attracted a lot of young Taiwan talents. They inquired about the vacancies and filed related hiring registration forms. Some photographed the recruitment information posted on billboards to share with their friends.
Li Yuefeng, one of the job seekers on site who graduated from National Taiwan Sport University (NTSU) said, "I used to be a PE teacher in Taiwan, and have long been eager to work in the mainland. Currently, I have a strong interest in a vacancy offered by the Pingtan Bureau of Education."
120 Taiwan youth who undertook the Taiwan youth employment and entrepreneurship training course in Pingtan also participated in the job fair.
A Taiwan trainee from Kaohsiung said, "The fair is held right after the training course, and it’s a wonderful platform for us to land jobs."
