The Longyan Tourism Bureau held a training session on the promotion and assessment of workplace safety in Longyan’s tourist hotels on April 11, at the Longyan Landscape Hotel.
Among the participants were over 40 safety managers, security directors and other related personnel of all the 3-star hotels and would-be 4-star hotels in the city. In 2013, Longyan made remarkable achievements in promoting tourism safety and security and its standardized assessment. Fourteen four-star hotels have been certified for meeting the national standard criteria for hotel workplace safety.
To facilitate the accreditation of more hotels, the Longyan Tourism Bureau, in collaboration with the Longyan Hotel Guild, held this additional training session.
During the session, the experts guided the participants through the content, requirements and criteria of the standardized assessments of hotel workplace safety, as set out in relevant government documents, along with the procedure of rating applications.
The director of the Tourism Bureau’s Security Office has mapped out the assessment work , while the hotels are striving to achieve the qualification by this June.
