A total of 74 companies from Nanping National Ecological Park brought their specialties – including animal products, alcohol, tea, bamboo shoots, vegetables and rice - to the 2014 Wuyi Food Fair which was held on Zhongshan Road in Xiamen on Jan 4, with the aim of promoting the products of the city of Nanping, en.xmnn.cn

In addition, seven scenic spots of Nanping showed products of Wuyi Mountain, and Ge Xiaohua, deputy mayor of Nanping, said that the success of the event exceeded expectations – and they also received media coverage.
Participants sold a total of 15,000 kilograms of tangelo - a citrus fruit hybrid of tangerine and pomelo or grapefruit - in one day, and business people were surprised by the demand for their products.
Zhang Canmin, deputy mayor of Xiamen, attended the opening ceremony of the one-day event, and officials from the city's Agriculture Department, the Tourism Administration and Minbei Daily, also attended the event, which was organized by the Nanping Government, the Nanping Agriculture Department, Nanping Tourism Administration, Minbei Daily and Xiamen Daily.
