Wenjiang launches online car-hailing service license application

Wenjiang district launched an online application system for online car-hailing service licenses on Nov 20 in order to improve the management and supervision of the industry.

A core item during the approval of the license is to transform non-profit-making vehicles into online ride-hailing ones.

Through the establishment of an online service channel, Wenjiang will deliver PDF documents online, effectively changing the nature of vehicle registration certificates and addressing policy bottlenecks in line with legal principles.

Companies with network platforms, companies which have vehicles affiliated to them and natural persons are able to apply online for a car-hailing service license on the Sichuan Government Service Network.

Applicants just need to submit their vehicle registration certificates, their certificates for the number, seat and type of vehicles in operation, and other certificates for technical grades, GPS and emergency alarm devices through the website.

A total of 556 online ride-hailing vehicles have been granted the license so far in Wenjiang, and the license will be given to all online car-hailing vehicles by 2019.

Issuing online car-hailing service licenses is important to promote a standardized management system and provide people with more legal choices for transportation.
