Wenjiang district is located in Chengdu in southeast China. With a humid subtropical climate and yearly monsoons, it is an ideal place for growing flowers and trees. As the birthplace of Sichuan-style bonsai and a major exporter of them to Europe, plants and flowers have become one of the local area's pillar industries, aiding with economic development and giving Wenjiang the title of international garden city.
