Equestrian festival promotes Wenjiang integrative development

Chengdu's Wenjiang district is a venue for holding domestic and overseas renowned equestrian events such as the Sichuan Equestrian League and the China Equestrian Festival (CEF).

With the successful holding of the CEF, Wenjiang has raised its fame in the domestic equestrian sports circle. The sport is getting more and more popular in Wenjiang, where a series of activities including equestrian sports experiences, equestrian culture expos for youth and horse-themed entertainment in Chengdu Jinma International Equestrian Sports Park have been organized this year.

Wenjiang has formulated a three year plan for its orientation as a "world equestrian sports district". It maps out specific measures to develop equestrian sports-related industries and actively build a platform for the integrative development of culture, business, tourism and sports.

The district will hold more international equestrian invitational tournaments and domestic competitions, building a Wenjiang-style equestrian event system so that more people can experience quality competitions.

Wenjiang will build an equestrian sports town and strengthen the construction of infrastructure and supporting facilities. It will focus on the operation of the equestrian sports park and highlight the development of equestrian training, equestrian performances and horse auctions.

Wenjiang will also pay attention to popularizing equestrian culture by organizing events in campus and attracting more people to participate in events, making equestrian sport a part of people's life.
