2014 China Equestrian Festival concluded

The Fifth China Equestrian Festival, under the theme of "Intimacy, Harmony, Health and Enjoy", kicked off on Nov 7 and concluded on Nov 8 at the Jinma International Equestrian Sports Park in the Wenjiang district of Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province.

More than 260 athletes and their 200 horses took part in the competitions and cultural activities.

Sponsored by the General Administration of the Sports and Chinese Equestrian Association, the China Equestrian Festival is the first national equestrian event that combined high-ranking competitions, horse-themed exhibitions, and cultural tourism in a city located in the central and western part of China.

The competitions included the Chengdu stop of the 2014 Longines China Tour, the 2014 China Speed Racing final, the third Sichuan Equestrian Barrel Racing competition, and the second Chengdu Youth Equestrian Skills competition.

There was a horse-themed photo exhibition, along with charity rides for autistic children and some equestrian-related activities in schools.
