During the forum, the two experts will introduce the evolution of "learning stories", the way to discover and record children’s "WOW" moments, the practical experience of recording and analyzing "learning stories" and observation of daily life in New Zealand's kindergartens.

They will also share some strategies and guiding tools used in the recording process, and present some cases about "learning stories" in China and other countries to illustrate the theory of "learning stories".

The forum will spend one day in Haike Kindergarten, which introduced the concept of "learning stories" in 2015. Since then it has undergone great changes in the learning, transformation and practice of the concept.

Teachers have become professional observers and collaborators. They have stimulated children's inner strength, focused on children's interests and gradually developed interesting courses such as dyeing cloth, paper making and shadow games.

“Children under New Zealand's concept of 'learning stories' are confident and capable learners and communicators. The change of views on children has given our teachers a new look. They have begun to follow children’s interests, listen to children and record their 'WOW' moments,” said Wu Jintao, director of Haike Kindergarten.

Constant dialogues and response between teachers and children have contributed to the wonderful courses that are unique to children and require no teaching materials, Wu added.

Haike Kindergarten will continue to apply the concept of "learning stories" in education and teaching, pay attention to the evaluation of children's learning processes, focus on children's flash points and improve the quality of their daily education.
