Wenjiang promotes self-declaration of enterprise names

Chengdu's Wenjiang district officially launched the enterprise name self-declaration platform on Oct 8.

Applicants are only required to search or enter the website of the Sichuan Government Service Network on the Internet and click "Enterprise Name Self-declaration" to conduct online declaration.

Through the website they can check, compare and judge the proposed name according to the name declaration rules set by the system. The entire process can be completed in approximately 10 minutes.

The retention period for self-declared enterprise name is 30 days. Enterprises that pass the declaration shall go through the industrial and commercial registration in a timely manner.

If the registration cannot be completed before the expiration of the retention period, they may apply for an extension as required, but they may only postpone the extension once, and the extension period is set at 30 days.

Chengdu Yi Er San Gas Co became the first company to successfully declare a name through the self-declaration platform.

"With this, the government department is really more convenient and efficient. It is no longer necessary to run to the window. With a click of the mouse, you can complete the declaration of company names from home," said the person in charge of the company.

The reform has eliminated the pre-approval of company names and shortened the enterprise registration approval cycle. This is yet another effective way to explore "the approval without meeting".

Applicants can operate on the Internet at home or in office without having to go out.

The change from "face-to-face" to "keyboard-to-keyboard" has reduced the burden of market entities and further stimulated innovation vitality and entrepreneurial potential.
