The 2018 China and South Korea Calligraphy Art Exchange Exhibition opened at the Wenjiang CPPCC (Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference) Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute on Aug 21.

It has been 12 years since the first China and South Korea calligraphy art exchange exhibition was held in Wenjiang in 2006.

Around 150 calligraphy works from 30 Chinese and South Korean artists are on display at the research institute and Chengyuan, an art museum in Wenjiang.

The works continue the classical calligraphy tradition while also integrating modern artistic concepts. They are infused with national culture and personal sentiment and promoted the friendship between China and Korea.

The exhibition will last until the end of August and is free to the public.
