Chengdu to focus efforts on education in 2017

Following the fifth session of the 16th Chengdu Municipality People’s Congress on Jan 6, Chengdu will focus more efforts toward promoting education.

According to the conference, Chengdu will further education reform this year, and construct 160 public kindergartens creating the opportunity for 48,000 more students to enter the local education system.

Reconstruction and expansion projects will also be carried out at 60 local primary and middle schools in 2017.
