Famous writer gives books to students

Yang Hongying, a famous children’s literature writer, came to Wenjiang, Chengdu, Sichuan province on Sept 18, to donate 6,000 of her books to Shou’an Rural School and Hesheng Rural School.
Yang said to students at the donation ceremony that there are deep implied meanings in each story, no matter how easy the plot and language appear. She also said that she hoped the students could get to know more about the world and become better citizens through reading books.
He Min, vice governor of Wenjiang said at the ceremony that reading is one of the best ways for children to gain knowledge. She expressed her gratitude to Yang for her generous donations. She hoped that students in Wenjiang could read more books and find pleasure in reading.
