It's grape time

If you’ve seen the movie “Walk in the Clouds”, you were probably mesmerized by the misty scenes in vineyards of Napa Valley, California. There is no need to fly to the United States to experience such a wonderland.

There is the “Hengjie fruit base” vineyard right here in Zhejiang, in the northwest of Lin’an city. Hengjie is one of the best places for big and sweet grapes. All the grapes in Hengjie are planted in 2-meter tall greenhouses, which are covered by plastic film and thin wire.

In the vineyards, strings of purple grapes fill the air with a fruity flavor. Pick one grape and put into your mouth and the sweetness will immediately jump on your tongue. The farmers from Hengjie Village have been growing grapes for more than 20 years.

Along with the rising fame of their grape festival, grape sales have also dramatically increased and contributed to the farmers’ welfare. Tourists can pick their own grapes in the vineyard. The entry fee of picking ticket is 10 to 15 yuan per person.
