The New Zealand International Children's Dance Festival wrapped up in warm welcome at the Waipuna Theatre in Auckland on July 30.
In total, 160 young performers from 11 dance troupes from more than six countries displayed their traditional dances, ballet, jazz and hip hop. Their performances also featured a series of Chinese dances, including group dance Blue and White Porcelain, Jasmine, and solo dance Hong Yan and Tao Ma Gan.
"Our stage will always welcome those dancers who would like to promote their traditional culture. And we hope the event would improve the understanding and cooperation among the dancers with different ethnic background," said Zhou Xiaowen, an official from an overseas art center in New Zealand.
