PYONGYANG - The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK)'s Rodong Sinmun newspaper reported Wednesday that the country's pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo had been well received by visitors.
According to the newspaper, the DPRK pavilion, with the theme of "the People's Paradise", seeks to showcase to travelers its capital city of Pyongyang, traditional national culture, DPRK people, and their desire to build a prosperous and powerful nation.
Pavilion Director Ri Song Won said it received about 10,000 visitors per day on the average and had attracted strong interest from international media. Its souvenirs were also very popular.
Opened on May 1, the six-month Expo has attracted 189 countries and 57 international organizations and is expected to draw 70 million visitors from China and abroad.
