Dongfeng Honda recalls vehicles in China
BEIJING — Dongfeng Honda will recall 140,876 vehicles on the Chinese mainland due to a fire risk in the engine system.
The affected model is the Honda Jade manufactured between November 14, 2012 and November 16, 2015, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine announced Tuesday.
The model has a faulty design in its rechargeable battery which may generate a fire in the engine and lead to other potential risks, the administration said in a statement on its website.
The recall will begin on September 25.
All faulty parts will be repaired free of charge.
