Beijing's new policy about electric vehicles has already captured customers' attention.
"More than 20 people came to the store to inquire about electric vehicles," said Wang Jinlai, a salesman in a 4S store in Beijing, pointing out that the number represents a two-fold increase compared to the last peak season.
He expressed his surprise that the potential customers were already aware of the new policy.
BAIC New Energy Vehicles Co is a subsidiary of China's fifth largest automotive group, the Beijing Automotive Group.
