COVID-19 prevention rules for trans-provincial travel in 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions during Spring Festival (As of Feb 3, 2021)

To Chongqing

From low-risk areas: returnees to urban areas should have a green health code, report to the community and follow the arrangement of community staff; returnees to rural areas should hold a negative nucleic acid test report conducted within 7 days or a green health code containing a negative nucleic acid test result, a 14-day home health monitoring and two nucleic acid tests.

From medium-risk areas: people with a negative nucleic acid test report conducted within 3 days should have a 14-day community health management period and a nucleic acid test; people unable to provide a report should undergo a 14-day isolated quarantine and take two nucleic acid tests.

From high-risk areas: a 14-day isolated quarantine and two nucleic acid tests.

*Measures for returnees from low-risk areas to Chongqing's rural areas are valid from Jan 28 to March 8.

To Chengdu, Sichuan province

From medium or high-risk areas: a 14-day isolated observation, at least two nucleic acid tests. Parallel testing, which refers to nucleic acid tests conducted by two testing organizations or with two reagents, are required before the removal of isolated quarantine.

For people from cities with subordinate districts involved in medium or high-risk areas and engaged in high-risk work from low-risk areas: a negative nucleic acid test report conducted within 7 days.

To Guiyang, Guizhou province

For people from low-risk areas in the cities or prefectures where a medium or high-risk area is located: take a nucleic acid test in Guizhou province.

For people from medium or high-risk areas or having had close contacts with confirmed or asymptomatic cases: a 14-day isolated quarantine, a 14-day home health monitoring and five nucleic acid tests.

To Kunming, Yunnan province

From low-risk areas: a negative nucleic acid test report conducted within 7 days; people unable to provide a report should immediately take a nucleic acid test within 24 hours after arrival in Kunming and accept tracking and monitoring by relevant community (village).

From medium-risk areas: a 14-day home quarantine and medical observation during which two nucleic acid tests are required.

From high-risk areas: a 14-day isolated observation during which three nucleic acid tests are required, followed by a 14-day home quarantine during which a nucleic acid test is required.

To Xi'an, Shaanxi province

From low-risk areas: a green health code.

For people engaged in high-risk work from low-risk areas and trans-provincial returnees to rural areas: a negative nucleic acid test report conducted within 7 days, report to local village committee in advance.

From medium or high-risk areas: people for whom it is absolutely necessary to enter Shaanxi province must obtain approval of local epidemic prevention and control department and hold a negative nucleic acid test report conducted within 72 hours.

For people from the administrative divisions where a medium or high-risk area is located: a negative nucleic acid test report conducted within 7 days.

To Lanzhou, Gansu province

From low-risk areas: a green health code; people engaged in high-risk work must hold a negative nucleic acid test report conducted within 7 days.

From medium-risk areas: a green health code, a negative nucleic acid test report conducted within 72 hours, a 14-day home health monitoring during which a nucleic acid test is required.

From high-risk areas: a 14-day isolated observation during which at least two nucleic acid tests are required.

To Xining, Qinghai province

From low-risk areas: a negative nucleic acid test report conducted within 7 days, and a home health monitoring.

From medium-risk areas: a 14-day home quarantine during which two nucleic acid tests are required.

From high-risk areas: a 14-day isolated observation, followed by a 7-day home quarantine during which three nucleic acid tests are required on the 1st, 14th and 21st day of the whole process.

To Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region

For returnees to rural areas outside Ningxia Hui autonomous region, people from the administrative divisions where a medium or high-risk area is located and people who engaged in high-risk work: a negative nucleic acid test report conducted within 7 days, a 14-day home health monitoring during which two nucleic acid tests are required on the 7th and 14th days. Above requirements are implemented from Jan 28 to March 8.

To Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region

From administrative divisions in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region and low-risk areas outside Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region: passing code of Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, a green health code; a negative nucleic acid test report conducted within 7 days is preferred.

From areas in Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning and Hebei provinces, Daxing and Shunyi districts in Beijing, Huangpu district in Shanghai: isolated observation is required after a nucleic acid test.

From Beijing (excluding Daxing and Shunyi district) and Shanghai (excluding Huangpu district): a nucleic acid test after arrival and home quarantine are required. Those without a fixed residence should quarantine at hotels.

For returnees to rural areas outside Xinjiang, people from medium and high-risk areas in Xinjiang and people engaged in high-risk work: report to the local community in advance, a negative nucleic acid test report conducted within 7 days, a 14-day home health monitoring during which two nucleic acid tests are required on the 7th and 14th days.

*Negative nucleic acid test reports are required from Jan 28 to March 8.

To Lhasa, Tibet autonomous region

For trans-provincial returnees to rural areas, people from the administrative divisions where a medium or high-risk area is located and those engaged in high-risk work in the Tibet autonomous region: a negative nucleic acid test report conducted within 7 days, a 14-day home health monitoring during which two nucleic acid tests are required on the 7th and 14th days.

*Negative nucleic acid test reports are required from Jan 28 to March 8.
