海南海事局5艘船舶待命 可随时参与失联客机救援
从海南海事局获悉，3月8日上午，海南海事局在接到交通运输部关于做好救援失联马航客机人员准备的通知后，立即启动海上应急预案，部署救援准备工作。
李克强紧急同马来西亚总理纳吉布通电话
3月8日下午，国务院总理李克强紧急同马来西亚总理纳吉布通电话，敦促马方迅速有力开展马航失联客机搜救工作。纳吉布就马航客机失联向中方表示歉意，向中国乘客亲属表示深切同情和慰问，表示马方将全力开展搜救，并派工作组来华协助处理相关事宜。
越媒：失联客机可能在距越南土珠岛300公里处坠毁
据《越南快讯》3月8日12时报道，越南第五海区海军政委准海军上将武文发称，有关马来西亚航空公司波音777-200飞机坠落地点，今天上午马来西亚搜救部门已经向越南做了通报。根据飞机的速度以及最后发送信号的地点，该部门判断该飞机可能在越南和马来西亚接壤海域，距离土珠岛，富国岛（越南建江省）约153海里(约300公里)。
失联客机乘客亲友受访 一市民称邻居全家都在航班上
马来西亚航空公司MH370航班3月8日在飞行途中失踪，机上有239人，含154名中国乘客。中国日报记者采访了一些机上乘客的亲友、经常乘坐MH370航班的人士。
越媒：越南军官称马来客机在Tho Chu岛附近坠毁
据越南媒体《青年报》新闻网站3月8日报道，越南海军高官Rear Admiral Ngo Van Phat称，马来西亚航空公司失联航班370在距离越南Tho Chu岛153英里处坠毁。
