Trade investment is a main component in building and developing relationship between China and Kenya, said Chinese Premier Li Keqiang at a joint press conference with Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta in Nairobi, capital of Kenya, on Saturday.

Li acknowledged the trade imbalance between China and Kenya, emphasizing China will take measures to improve the situation.

The premier said the Chinese government will help Kenya to address the issue from two aspects, although the imbalance is mainly caused by market forces.

On one hand, it will further market Kenya's goods in China. And on the other hand, Chinese firms will be encouraged to expand their investment in Kenya's manufacturing industries and thus increase the country’s export competitiveness.
