Blast hits security forces convoy in SW Pakistan

ISLAMABAD - At least 17 soldiers were injured when a bomb blast targeted a security forces convoy in Pakistan's southwestern province of Balochistan on Monday, local media reported.

The incident took place when a roadside bomb struck a convoy of paramilitary Frontiers Constabulary (FC) in Tali area of Sibi district.

The blast destroyed two vehicles of the convoy.

At least three of the injured were in critical condition.

Security officials said that the bomb was detonated with a remote control device.

The security forces convoy was targeted when they were going to establish some new checkposts.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
