The annual China-US intellectual property rights work meeting will take place from Sept 19 to 25 in Washington, Salt Lake City and Los Angeles, China's Commerce Ministry said.
Delegates from 10 Chinese ministries and corresponding US Cabinet departments will discuss issues such as copyrights, trademarks, patents, IPR innovation, IPR law enforcement and commercial secrets, the ministry said.
The two sides will also discuss how to implement an IPR cooperation framework agreement they signed at last year's work meeting in Chengdu. The agreement was the US' first IPR cooperation framework agreement with a foreign government, said Yang Guohua, vice director of department of treaty and law with the ministry.
The meeting will also engage entrepreneurs and academia from both sides.
