MINSK - Belarus-China relations have reached their highest possible peak, Belarusian House of Representatives Chief Vladimir Andreichenko said Tuesday.
"The trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and China has been vibrant in the recent years, the two countries more than doubled their mutual trade in 2006-2010," Andreichenko said when meeting with the Chinese ambassador to Belarus Lu Guicheng.
The two countries have been closely cooperating in the international arena, he said, adding: "We always feel support of our Chinese colleagues in addressing issues of international importance."
According to Lu, the parliaments of the two countries play a big role in the development of bilateral relations.
The ambassador said inter-parliamentary relations have proved beneficial for both countries and helped enhance cooperation in economy, trade and humanitarian spheres.
Andreichenko presented Lu a certificate of honor of the House of Representatives for his services to the Belarusian-Chinese inter- parliamentary.
