TEHRAN - Iran will release on Wednesday two US men convicted of espionage, their lawyer said.
"I have got necessary signatures from judiciary officials for their release on bail ... hopefully the two will be freed today," Masoud Shafie said.
Iran's judiciary said on Wednesday that two US citizens convicted of spying will be released on bail, Iranian state television reported.
"Until the final verdict is issued by the appeals court regarding the two American citizens' eight years jail term (each) ... they will be released on $500,000 bail each," the judiciary said.
Iran will hand over two US citizens convicted of spying to the Swiss embassy on Wednesday at 1030 GMT, Shafie said, the semi-official Fars news agency reported.
