Storm "Niklas" has killed at least three people in Germany after it blowed away the roof of Munich railway station, forced disruption of traffic, and wreaked havoc in many parts of the country on Tuesday, local media reported.

One man was killed by a concrete wall blown over by the storm in the eastern state of Saxony-Anhalt, two people from a road maintenance company were killed by a falling tree in Germany's western state of Rhineland-Palatinate, German media Spiegel Online reported.

People at the railway station have to be evacuated for fear of possible danger caused by the storm, according to local media Bavarian Radio.

According to the report, regional trains have been cancelled in North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony and long-distance trains in Bavaria were also suspended on Tuesday.

Roads to the station have already been blocked by local police.
