The official website of Dongguan city on Monday released the name of its new police chief, a post in the limelight during a prostitution crackdown.
Yang Jianghua was appointed as the city's new police head after his predecessor, Yan Xiaokang, was sacked under fire, with the public doubting his ability to curb the local sex trade.
The new head has already arrived at Dongguan to take over the police work, China News Agency reported.
