Knife-wielding man injures 3 at NW China airport

LANZHOU - A knife-wielding man injured three security staff members on Monday morning at an airport in Lanzhou, capital of Northwest China's Ganzhou province, airport authorities said.
The man rushed through the security check area at about 9:16 am, and was brought under control by security staff, according to a spokesman with the Lanzhou Zhongchuan Airport.
The three injured security staff members, two in critical condition, have been taken to a local hospital.
The knife-wielding man has been detained by police. His identity and motive are under investigation.
The airport has resumed service and flights are operating normally.
