Whether buying fruit from a street vendor or shopping in a luxury store, people in China are getting accustomed to no cash payment. The number of mobile payment users reached 469 million as of last December, data released by CNNIC showed.
Chinese commercial banks dealt with 9.3 billion payments from mobile banking services in the first quarter this year, a 65.7 percent increase from 2016, according to a report released by the central bank.
