Prized wood house preserved
You've probably heard of furniture made of Phoebe zhennan, a valuable tree that in ancient times only royal families could afford to use, but have you ever seen a house made of Phoebe zhennan?
A house of from the ancient Ming or Qing dynasty totally made of Phoebe zhennan was discovered, and was later transferred and preserved at an expo garden in Enshi, Central China's Hubei province, people.com.cn reported on Friday.
The house, more than 150 square meters, is well-preserved and is estimated to be worth at least 10 million yuan ($ 1.6 million).
