Salary weighing three kilograms
Have you ever brought 3 kilograms of salary home? Employees of a bus company in Bengbu, East China's Anhui province, did so.
Each of the more than 2,700 employees at Bengbu Public Transportation Group Co received part of their salary in 500 one-yuan ($0.16) coins weighing a total 3 kilograms on July 16, ahwang.cn reported.
According to Wang Hai, the company's deputy manager, 1.2 million yuan in coins had accumulated since May from fares passengers had paid for bus trips. Paying part of employees' salaries in coins helped alleviate the pressure of the inventory.
