Students forced to exercise in rain
Hundreds of students were asked to be inspected by visiting government officials by exercising in the rain at a middle school in Rong county, Yulin, South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, on the afternoon of March 13, Southern Metropolis Daily reported.
To people's anger, while the students got wet, the officials held umbrellas to protect them from the rain.
A microblogger named Guozhengxing lawyer, mocked the selfishness of the visiting officials and school leaders by saying that, "their kids are not among the rain-hit students".
The school later responded to the report by saying that they prepare umbrellas for visiting officials because some of them are senior citizens whose physical condition can not bear the rain.
The publicity department of Rong county said that umbrellas are installed to protect the photographic equipment from the rain.
